This season Mister Freedoms collection is named Pioupiou and the inspiration behind the garments comes from what the French army wore during the first world war. The term "Piou Piou" was a nick name used to describe the French infantry troops back in the days. The clothes are inspired by vintage French military garb used in between the late 1800’s to the 1930’s, but as always when it comes to Mister Freedom these garments have been reinvented to make them easier to wear in a contemporary setting!

The Le Vaillant Indigo HBT Trousers are inspired by French military late 1800’s utility and uniform trousers, made of a thick and heavy linen / cotton herringbone twill selvage fabric that has been dyed with indigo.

The pants have time period details such as a split back waistband that can be tightened using the chinch back and buttons for suspenders. The waist rise is medium height and the legs have a slightly tapered fit. As you probably already know the true beauty of this textile will only show when the pants have been used and washed for some time, showing traces of wear in a most unique way.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg.
