This fabulous little blouse was produced by the Clobber label, a boutique in London that was run by Jeff Banks from 1964-1974. Banks is one of my personal favorites of the British designers of that time. The top is amazing and the cut and silhouette is a great representation of that hippie "street" fashion movement. It is made of a light cotton with a quilted and slightly padded front panel and back panel. Once on it feels light and easy but with enough structure that it maintains its shape. The top is cut with the sleeves set deep into the waist to give them tremendous voluminous above their buttoned cuffs. The shoulders are inset and gathered at the top and I love the gathers that sit on the sides of the waist before the bottom flares out to the hem. The mix of colored paisleys just adds to its charm. In excellent condition.
Unlined and closes with a back metal zipper. A button on each cuff.
